MANDATE: To search for an experienced Head of HR for a boutique Investment Manager.  Proven experience in managing the execution of the HR strategy and operations as well as the organisations culture. Being a standalone position Financial Services experience was mandatory and the need to be very hands-on with operational tasks as well as execute the strategy to the board.

SOLUTION:   Shelley worked closely with the CEO to understand the company culture, and growth goals for the business. Key challenges in the past have been the seniority of the HR Manager, to become a trusted senior leader within the business as well as the desire to be extremely hands-on with all operational tasks in a very fast paced environment. Shelley had previously worked on very similar mandates and had relationships with capable FS HR professionals so had a strong sense that she already had the candidate in her network. She was able to present 6 candidates in person the following week, 2 candidates were invited back to meet with the board members and the position was appointed the same week.
